Somm is a virtual sommelier.

We found that consumers at restaurants either have no idea what to order, or have some idea but don’t always feel confident they are making the right decision. We want to make sure you get wines that you love, so that you drink more wine, and so you are more educated when you talk to the sommelier.

We believe that the best way to choose wine is to look at what sommeliers are picking for their winelist. A winelist is not an arbitrary list of wines. It was constructed by someone. When a wine is on a good wine list, that is an upvote for the wine. When a wine is on a bad list, that’s a downvote for the wine. It’s that simple.

Then we use a few more datapoints to arrive at a consolidated score.

We let you filter by a lot of other factors to figure out what you want to drink. Or, use it as a starting point to discuss with some non-artificial intelligence.
